Robert Firth

Robert R. (Bob) Firth

Bob Firth is a 30-year veteran of the energy business. He is president and CEO of Atlas Pipeline Mid-Continent, a subsidiary of Atlas Pipeline Partners, LP (NYSE: APL), and president of Atlas Pipeline Holdings (NYSE: AHD), the general partner of APL. Atlas Pipeline is a natural gas mid-stream energy company with operations in the Appalachian and mid-continent regions that gathers, compresses, processes and transports over 1.2 BCF per day of natural gas and produces approximately 52,000 bbl of natural gas liquids per day.

Mr. Firth began his career in maintenance at the Northern Natural Gas Mainline Station, Beaver, Okla. He subsequently held various positions in the operations side of the business at Northern where his last job was District Manager for the Oklahoma and Texas Panhandle areas. In 1985 he became an owner in Panda Resources, Inc., a start-up mid-stream energy company that, in 1989, was honored by Inc. Magazine as the 24th fastest growing company in America. In addition to his experience with Northern Natural Gas, he has held officer positions in the operations, engineering and commercial business segments of Panda Resources, Transok, ScissorTail Energy, CMS Energy and Spectrum Field Services.

Mr. Firth holds an associates degree from Seward County Community College, a bachelor’s of science degree and a master’s degree from Upper Iowa University. He now serves on the UIU Board of Trustees and is an adjunct professor in Management, Leadership and Entrepreneurship for its External Degree Program. He is on the Board of Directors of Atlas Pipeline Holdings and is a member of the National Association of Corporate Directors.
